The Fort Chip Lodge is nestled on the border of the Wood Buffalo National Park, making our closest neighbors the largest free-roaming heard of buffalo in the world!
The Lodge is located on tiny Ft. Chipewyan, Alberta. Ft. Chip is one of the historic sites on one of the fur trade routes which settled Canada over 200 years ago. Ft. Chip itself is over 210 years old, making it Alberta's oldest community. In fact, it's still populated by descendants of it's oldest community Aboriginal peoples, the Athabasca Cree and Chipewyan Native Tribes. Many residents are still practicing traditional lifestyles.
The Lodge experience is equally impressive inside. The sweeping wooden architecture of the Lodge offers ten beautiful rooms, a fully licensed lounge and a dining room offering a floor to ceiling view of the legendary Alberta sunsets, or sunrises for the more ambitious.
All the rooms offer a view of gorgeous Lake Athabasca and are fully equipped with telephone and satellite television. You could be the proud owner/operator of this property.
